Kavanagh Signs with Freddie Roach
Jamie Kavanagh followed in the foot steps of Dean Byrne, by been the second Crumlin Boxer to sign a professional contract with Legendary boxing manager Freddie Roach. Jamie will join Freddie in the famous Wild Card Boxing Club Hollywood CA. The club proudly trains Manny Pacquio, Amir Khan, Dean Byrne, and many more.
Sutcliffe Takes Sports Star Of the Month Award
Philip Sutcliffe won the The Echo Sports Star of the Month, the award was awarded to Philip when he knocked out Olympian John Joe Joyce and took the National Senior Title last February. The Awards Night that took place in December was organized by The Echo, The South Dublin County Sports Partnership and The Louis Fitzgerald Hotel.
Seven Strong Crumlin Team For Seniors
Philip Sutcliffe will defend his National Senior title for the first time this February, joining him will Garreth Smith 91+kg, David Mc Guire 91kg, Mark Carlisle 75kg, Shane Murtagh 69kg, Luke Keeler 69kg, and our female entry will be Jade Corcoran 51kg, We expect all friends and family to get behind all our boxers in every competition, large and small.
Six Weigh in for Open Youth Championship
The open youth championship will take place from 15th till the 29th of January. This competition will help the selection process for the World Youth Championship in France in April and then will lead on to the first ever Youth Olympic Boxing Championship in Singapore in August.The Crumlin entry's will be, Jason Conroy, Evan Metcalfe, Martin Carroll, Martin Wall, Brian Broderick and Keith Monks
